Special features: The Balvenie 16 Year French Oak is a single malt whisky from the Speyside region of Scotland. The maturation initially takes place in American oak barrels, followed by a finish in casks that were previously filled with Pineau des Charentes, a French liqueur wine. With an alcohol content of 47.6%, this whisky is presented in a 700 ml format. It is delivered in specially designed packaging.
Tasting Notes:
- Nose: The nose reveals fresh and ripe pear, red apple, and apricots, complemented by delicate sawed oak and sweet flan base. Vanilla cream pastry and strawberries dipped in honey, along with blueberries, round off the aroma.
- Palate: The whisky shows a medium body, where juicy orchard fruits meet blueberry yogurt and sweet vanilla cookies, dusted with powdered sugar. There is also a hint of delicate allspice and green apple seeds.
- Finish: The finish is medium-long and focuses on the gently drying note of green apple skin.

Stewart MBE has chosen a special maturation process for the Balvenie 16 Year French Oak. This bottling combines tradition with an innovative approach to cask management.
