GlenAllachie 18 is an 18-year-old official Speyside bottling with a distinctly sherry-influenced character. The whisky matures in selected oak casks and is bottled at 46%.

The whisky is bottled without chill filtration or added colouring in a 0.7-litre bottle.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: On the nose, notes of chocolate-coated Brazil nuts mingle with floral honey, dark sugar and raisins.
• Palate: On the palate, silky toffee, dried heather and dense fruitcake with a honeyed sweetness combine with forest fruits, nutty spice and old oak.
• Finish: Caramelised nuts and baking spices linger through the very long finish, accompanied by notes of sticky muscovado sugar and toasted barley.

Distillery/Bottler:

The GlenAllachie Distillery produces this single malt in Speyside. In October 2017, Billy Walker and his business partners Trisha Savage and Graham Stevenson acquired the distillery from Pernod Ricard. When they launched their first core range in 2018, nearly 50,000 casks were stored on site, including stocks dating from the 1970s.

The whisky's development in the warehouses is continually monitored. For the 18-year-old expression, Master Distiller Billy Walker selects the casks once the whisky has reached the desired stage of maturation.
