Collection II brings together three Glenfarclas single malts matured for different lengths of time: 0.2 litres of Glenfarclas 15 at 46%, 0.2 litres of Glenfarclas 21 at 43% and 0.2 litres of Glenfarclas 25 at 43%. These three distillery bottlings allow a direct comparison of the sherry-forward house style at 15, 21 and 25 years of age.

The set contains 0.6 litres in total. The three bottlings are non-chill-filtered and contain no added colouring.

The overall profile of Glenfarclas 21 includes tropical fruit, nutmeg and almond alongside sherry and citrus. Chocolate accompanies its long, smooth finish. A vanilla-tinged smoky nuance complements the character of the 21-year-old.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: On the nose, Glenfarclas 15 shows sherry, light butterscotch notes and a hint of dried fruit. Glenfarclas 21 reveals a powerful bouquet of sherry, delicate citrus accents, fruit and nuts. Fruitcake, marmalade, date pastries and sherry shape the full, intense aroma of Glenfarclas 25. Honey and nuts complement the bouquet, with a little coffee and oaky tannic notes in the background.
• Palate: Sherry and malt are very well balanced in Glenfarclas 15. Abundant spice underpins the full-bodied Glenfarclas 21, while its fruit lends additional roundness to the flavour. On the palate of Glenfarclas 25, sherry and robust oak combine with hazelnut and dark chocolate. Spicy gingerbread complements the flavour. Notes of dried orange are also present.
• Finish: Glenfarclas 15 has a long, lingering finish with sweet sherry notes. Chocolate accompanies the smooth, lingering finish of Glenfarclas 21. Glenfarclas 25 has an intense, long-lasting, dry and malty finish, complemented by dark chocolate.

Distillery/Bottler:

Glenfarclas has remained independently owned by the Grant family since John Grant acquired the distillery in 1865. Members of the fifth and sixth generations continue to run the business in Ballindalloch. Glenfarclas traditionally double-distils in direct-fired pot stills and matures its whiskies in selected Oloroso sherry casks made from European oak. The three single malts in this Collection are distillery bottlings.
