Special Features:

Distilled at Imperial on 18 September 1995, this single malt matured for 30 years in hogshead 50271. Signatory Vintage bottled it for Symington's Choice on 10 October 2025 at its natural cask strength of 56.9%; the cask yielded 189 bottles. The whisky is neither coloured nor chill-filtered.

Orange marmalade, heather honey, dried fruit and blond tobacco are accompanied by floral accents. Dried apricot, toffee, vanilla, biscuit and toasted coconut emerge on the palate; oak provides structure, while hazelnut and mild spices shape the long, warm finish.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: The nose is rich and enveloping, combining orange marmalade, heather honey, dried fruit and blond tobacco with floral accents.
• Palate: The whisky is opulent, velvety and precise on the palate, with dried apricot, toffee, vanilla, biscuit and toasted coconut; oak lends structure and balance.
• Finish: The finish remains long, warm and elegant, with lingering notes of candied fruit, rich honey, hazelnut and mild spices.

Distillery/Bottler:

Imperial was founded in 1897 in Carron, Speyside. The distillery ceased operations permanently in 1998, its buildings were demolished in 2012, and Dalmunach began production on the former Imperial site in 2014. The spirit distilled in 1995 therefore comes from one of Imperial's final periods of production.

Signatory Vintage was founded in 1988 by Andrew Symington and his brother. After acquiring Edradour Distillery in 2002, the company had moved its entire operation to the distillery's site in Pitlochry by 2007. As an independent bottler, Signatory Vintage released this Imperial from hogshead 50271 as part of Symington's Choice.
