Special Features:

This Longmorn spent all 13 years of its maturation in a First Fill Bourbon Barrel. Distilled on 2 April 2012, the Speyside single malt came from cask 910; Signatory Vintage bottled it on 7 August 2025 for the Cask Strength Collection. The single cask yielded 227 bottles at 59.1% alcohol.

Maturation in the bourbon barrel gives the whisky its light fruit, vanilla and coconut notes; spice and dry oak emerge on the finish. It was bottled without chill filtration or added colouring and comes in a metal tin.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: On the nose, green apple and pear meet ripe banana and citrus fruit. Vanilla and coconut complement the fruit, with a delicate honeyed sweetness.
• Palate: On the palate, juicy pear and citrus zest combine with caramel and creamy vanilla. The texture is slightly oily, with malty sweetness and a spicy oak note.
• Finish: The long finish combines vanilla and a little honeyed sweetness with white pepper, ginger, citrus zest and dry oak.

Distillery/Bottler:

Longmorn is located near Elgin in Speyside. John Duff founded the distillery in the 1890s and had a railway connection built for deliveries and shipping. Its fruit-forward distillery character comes in part from longer fermentation and distillation in eight stills. Longmorn has long supplied malt whisky for blends, but is also available as a single malt.

Signatory Vintage is the independent bottler of this Longmorn. Andrew Symington founded the company with his brother in 1988. Today, Signatory Vintage operates at the Edradour distillery site near Pitlochry and is known for selecting and bottling individual casks.
