Forty years of maturation in Sherry casks shape this Speyside single malt from the MacPhail's Collection. Gordon & MacPhail commissioned the casks to be made to its own specifications. Its character combines Sherry and mature fruit with citrus, milk chocolate, pepper and oak.

The whisky was bottled at 46%, without chill filtration or added colouring. The bottle contains 0.7 litres and comes in a wooden box.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: The nose opens with Sherry aromas, mature raisins and a distinct citrus note.
• Palate: On the palate, dried fruit and milk chocolate combine with pepper and the underlying spice of mature oak.
• Finish: The finish is medium in length and nutty, with an elegant, delicately woody note.

Distillery/Bottler:

Gordon & MacPhail was founded in Elgin in 1895, initially as a grocery and spirits business. John Urquhart and later his son George expanded the family company's expertise in selecting and maturing single malts over extended periods by pairing distillates with suitable oak casks. For this whisky, Gordon & MacPhail acts as the independent bottler and is responsible for the Sherry casks made to its own specifications and for bottling the whisky as part of the MacPhail's Collection.
