Selected for the 50th anniversary of Kirsch Import, this Tomintoul comes from a single first-fill bourbon cask, No. 5825. The whisky was distilled on 27 April 2016 and bottled in September 2026 after ten years of maturation. The numbered release comprises 228 bottles.

This official bottling is bottled at 58% cask strength, without chill filtration or added colouring. It comes in black gift packaging with a viewing window.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: On the nose, soft nougat and spiced apple meet crunchy toffee and almond cream tartlets. Lemon oil and honey round out the bouquet.
• Palate: On the palate, the creamy texture recalls panna cotta and vanilla flan. Sugared almonds, coconut oil, chestnut praline and lemon cream add further notes.
• Finish: The warming finish reveals cocoa powder, vanilla pod, roasted almonds and sweet elderflower. These impressions give way to a long, nutty aftertaste.

Distillery/Bottler:

Tomintoul was founded in 1965 near the village of the same name in the Cairngorms National Park. The distillery uses water from the Ballantruan spring and distils in tall stills. Master Distiller Robert Fleming comes from a family that has made whisky in Speyside for four generations and has overseen Tomintoul for more than thirty years.
