With the Projects, they express their creativity and create special bottlings that look beyond the boundaries of whisky production.
The latest example: Starward Muscat.
The single malt is a Starward premiere: it matured for four years in barrels from Rutherglen, Victoria, which had been filled with the fortified wine Muscat.
A combination of still wet-filled and burnt-out barrels creates rich, sweet and fragrant aromas of lychee, raisins, roasted almonds and cinnamon, which culminate in a harmonious finish of toasted oak.
