Special Features:

For this small-batch bottling, Tomintoul combines maturation in American oak ex-bourbon casks with a finishing period in French wine casks. Master Distiller Robert Fleming selected the matured whiskies, married them and then gave them a further maturation in selected Pinot Noir wine casks from Burgundy.

The bottling belongs to the Cask Finish Collection and carries no age statement. Its fruit-led character is accompanied by pastry and spicy wood notes. This non-smoky single malt is offered at 40% in a bottle containing 0.7 litres and comes in a presentation tube.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: Summer berries and red grapes define the nose, joined by notes of filo pastry, baking spices and salted caramel.
• Palate: The palate offers sweet notes of baked strawberries, blackcurrant liquorice, candied cherries and oat biscuits. Tobacco and oak spice provide a spicy counterpoint.
• Finish: The finish combines warming cloves and wood spice with blackberries, vanilla pod and ginger biscuits.

Distillery/Bottler:

Tomintoul was founded in 1965. The distillery lies in the Cairngorms National Park near the village of the same name, the highest village in the Scottish Highlands. Its water comes from the Ballantruan spring. Soft spring water and tall stills are among the foundations of the distillery's gentle, balanced style.

Master Distiller Robert Fleming comes from a family of Speyside distillers and continues their work in the fourth generation. He has shaped whisky production at Tomintoul for more than 30 years. With the Cask Finish Collection, the distillery complements ex-bourbon maturation with carefully selected wine and spirit casks from different regions.
