Special Features:

An Oloroso Sherry Butt shapes this long-matured Aberfeldy from the Mission Gold range. Distilled in 2002, the Single Malt spent 24 years in the 500-litre cask. Murray McDavid selected it for the autumn 2026 release, marking Aberfeldy's first appearance in this series.

Cask 43 yielded 636 bottles at 54.1% alcohol. The whisky is non-chill-filtered and has no added colouring. The 0.7-litre bottle comes in gold-coloured gift packaging.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: The nose combines pears and crumble topping with ripe quince and a waxy orange note.
• Palate: Fresh orchard fruits meet an oily texture and oak spice on the palate. Delicate floral notes complement the fruity impression.
• Finish: Orange peel and cinnamon linger, accompanied by a hint of clove. The fruity sweetness gradually gives way to dry spice.

Distillery/Bottler:

Aberfeldy Distillery began operating in 1898. John Alexander and Tommy Dewar commissioned it to supply malt whisky for their family company's blends. Designed by Charles Doig, the distillery stands in the Scottish Highlands and draws its water from the Pitilie Burn. Long fermentation and slow distillation are part of its production methods and also shape the spirit in this bottling.

Murray McDavid was founded in 1994 by wine merchants Mark Reynier and Simon Coughlin, together with Gordon Wright of Springbank. The independent bottler makes deliberate use of different cask types, including former wine casks. It is now based at Coleburn Distillery in Speyside. Mission Gold brings together rare, older Single Malts, grain whiskies and blends.
