Special Features:

This Braeval matured for ten years and was finished in Oloroso sherry casks for the Osprey range. Independent bottler Murray McDavid released the Speyside single malt at 46% without chill filtration.

Cocoa, stewed fruit and walnut shape the dark, nutty opening. On the palate, dates and raisins mingle with allspice, soft malt and chocolate. Dried fruit and nutty oak remain present in the finish.

Distillery/Bottler:

Braeval Distillery was built in 1973 in the remote Braes of Glenlivet, on the road to Chapeltown, and was known as Braes of Glenlivet until 1995. After production ceased in 2002, it resumed operations six years later.

For this release, independent bottler Murray McDavid handled the Oloroso sherry finish and bottling for the Osprey range. At the Coleburn site, its small team stores selected casks in traditional Victorian dunnage warehouses and carefully matches the character of the spirit with suitable wood.
