Special Features:

This Edradour matured for ten years in a single sherry cask. Distilled on 15 June 2016, it was bottled by Signatory Vintage in 2026 from cask No. 216 for the Un-Chillfiltered Collection. The cask yielded 850 bottles.

The Highland single malt was bottled at 46%, without chill filtration or added colouring. The sherry cask gives it dark fruit, sweetness and oak spice. The 0.7-litre bottle comes in a tube.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: On the nose, ripe plums, raisins, dates and dried figs mingle with malty sweetness. Dark chocolate and nuts follow, with cinnamon and oak adding spice.
• Palate: Toffee and caramel meet bittersweet dark chocolate on the palate. Dried fruit, cinnamon and toasted hazelnuts accompany the sherry sweetness and a full, soft mouthfeel.
• Finish: The long, warming finish remains dry and spicy, with pronounced oak spice. Lingering sherry sweetness and a fine note of bitter chocolate accompany a hint of dark fruit.

Distillery/Bottler:

Edradour is near Pitlochry in the Scottish Highlands. Founded in 1825 as a cooperative of local farmers, the distillery still uses small copper stills, wooden fermentation vessels and worm tubs – water-cooled copper coils in which the alcohol vapour condenses.

Andrew Symington, founder of independent bottler Signatory Vintage, acquired Edradour in 2002. Based at the distillery, Signatory Vintage selects individual matured whiskies for its single-cask releases. The whisky in this edition was distilled by Edradour and bottled by Signatory Vintage.
