Special Features:

A first-fill Marsala hogshead gives this single-cask whisky its ripe fruit, sweetness and spice. Distilled in 2011, the Inchgower matured for 13 years in cask #101 before Signatory Vintage bottled it for the Cask Strength Collection in 2025. The cask yielded 306 bottles.

The whisky was bottled at cask strength of 59.8%, without chill filtration or added colouring, and comes in a metal tin. Its fruit and spice notes sit alongside subtle salty impressions.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: On the nose, dates, figs and honey mingle with marzipan and orange peel. Candied orange, golden raisins and creamy caramel are accompanied by spicy malt and a hint of sea salt.
• Palate: On the palate, dark caramel, raisins and juicy apricots appear alongside dates and honey. Almonds and roasted nuts meet pastry, cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, baking spices and oak. The texture is robust, with a restrained maritime note still perceptible.
• Finish: The long finish is dry and spicy. Fig, orange peel, nutmeg and oak spice linger with dark sweetness, while a delicate salty note remains.

Distillery/Bottler:

Inchgower distillery stands near Buckie on the Speyside coast. Founded in 1871, it supplies much of its malt to blends. Its spirit is known for its spicy, slightly waxy character. With this single cask, independent bottler Signatory Vintage offers a distinct expression of the distillery.

Andrew Symington founded Signatory Vintage with his brother in 1988. The company later moved to the Edradour distillery site in Pitlochry. Selecting individual casks is central to its work as an independent bottler.
