Special Features:

A five-year finish in tawny port barriques defines this Mannochmore from Murray McDavid's autumn 2026 Benchmark collection. It matured in American oak, beginning in traditional hogsheads before spending its final five years in port casks from Portuguese partner Caves de Murça. These gave the light, fruity single malt additional depth and a delicate pink hue.

Distilled in 2016, the whisky was bottled in 2026 after ten years of maturation. This limited release comes from casks 2100709 and 2100710 and comprises 587 bottles. It is bottled at 58.1% alcohol, without chill filtration or added colouring.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: On the nose, strawberries mingle with aromas of Bakewell tart and pastry.
• Palate: On the palate, dried malt notes meet floral touches and poached pear.
• Finish: Gentle orange notes and sweet oak spice linger on the finish.

Distillery/Bottler:

Mannochmore is in Speyside and was established during the Scottish whisky boom of the 1970s on the grounds of the older Glenlossie distillery. Its whisky is most often encountered as a single malt through independent bottlers.

Murray McDavid was founded in early 1994 by wine merchants Mark Reynier and Simon Coughlin, together with Gordon Wright of Springbank. Their wine expertise informed their cask selection, with wine-cask maturation becoming a particular focus of the independent bottler. Today, the team works at the Coleburn Distillery site in Speyside. Guided by its Art of Maturation philosophy, it matches spirit character, cask selection and maturation time.
