Special Features:

BVB Bourbon Whiskey 09 combines a Borussia Dortmund edition with maturation in new, charred American white oak casks. These previously unused casks give the bourbon its sweet vanilla and caramel character. The whiskey comes from the USA and is made from corn, malted barley and other grain.

The edition was developed in collaboration with Borussia Dortmund and features the club logo and Borussia Dortmund lettering. The 0.5-litre bottle comes with a round gift tube. The bourbon is bottled at 40% alcohol without added colouring; its colour develops during cask maturation. As well as being enjoyed neat, it lends itself to classic cocktails such as the Old Fashioned and Manhattan.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: Sweet vanilla notes meet the scent of cream toffees on the nose.
• Palate: The bourbon is mild on the palate, with delicate spice and flavours of warm pastry, caramel and coconut.
• Finish: The gentle finish recalls brown sugar.

Distillery/Bottler:

The company behind the BVB edition is WeiLa GmbH, based in Düsseldorf. Since 2017, it has developed customised drinks for clubs, companies and brands, combining recipe development with the design of bottles, labels and gift packaging. Its range includes both specially developed recipes and existing products with customised presentation. Bourbon No. 09 is one of its joint projects with Borussia Dortmund.
