Chicken Cock Small Batch brings together whiskeys from selected casks to create distinct batches. Their maturation periods and warehouse locations can vary, and each batch remains available only until its stock sells out. Batch 28 of this Kentucky Straight Bourbon is bottled as Bottled-in-Bond at 50%. The whiskey matures for at least four years.

The bourbon combines citrus and spice notes with creamy sweetness and fruity accents. It is bottled without chill filtration or added colouring, and the bottle contains 0.7 litres.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: On the nose, sweet vanilla and orange zest meet clove and ginger, accompanied by a fragrant oak note.
• Palate: On the palate, creamy butterscotch, honey and vanilla custard combine with gentle spice. Caramel and dark stone fruits add to the flavour.
• Finish: The balanced, medium-length finish retains a fruity sweetness with apricot, vanilla and oak.

Distillery/Bottler:

Chicken Cock traces its origins to James A. Miller, who founded the brand in Paris, Kentucky, in 1856. Matti Anttila, CEO of Grain & Barrel Spirits, later rediscovered the historic brand and initiated its revival. Grain & Barrel Spirits now manages the brand, while Master Distiller Gregg Snyder is responsible for cask selection for the Small Batch series.

Bardstown Bourbon Company in Kentucky produces the whiskey through the joint Collaborative Distilling Program. Selected whiskeys are blended together before bottling. This collaboration connects the historic brand with a present-day production facility in its original home state.
