Special Features:
Tiger Man was launched in 2021 as part of the Elvis Whiskey collection. Its mash bill consists of 80% corn, 10% rye and 10% malted barley. The Straight Tennessee whiskey was aged for two years and is bottled at 45%.
Toasted oak and sweet corn define the underlying character. Citrus and green apple add fruity accents, while maple syrup, crème brûlée and caramel deepen the creamy sweetness.
The design draws directly on Elvis Presley's legacy: Tiger Man refers to one of his well-known nicknames, while the label features a photograph of Elvis and his signature. The letters TCB on the bottle neck stand for “Taking Care of Business”, the motto adopted by Elvis and his inner circle.
Tasting Notes:
- Nose: The nose reveals sweet corn, vanilla cream, baked apple, nutmeg and toasted oak.
- Palate: The whiskey feels buttery on the palate, combining maple syrup and vanilla with crème fraîche, pear, green apple, brown sugar, caramel, toasted oak, nutmeg and orange peel.
- Finish: The finish brings vanilla, maple syrup, dry oak and candied orange peel; the oak remains dry without becoming harsh.
Distillery/Bottler:
Grain & Barrel Spirits, based in Charleston, South Carolina, launched Elvis Whiskey in 2021 under a licensing agreement with Elvis Presley Enterprises. For Tiger Man, the company sources the whiskey, a specialist team blends the selected batches, and the whiskey is bottled in Tennessee.
