To make its Tennessee whiskey, the distillery uses iron-free spring water and mellows the distillate through a layer of sugar maple charcoal about three metres deep before maturation. Bonded then ages in selected charred oak barrels. Its production also follows the minimum ageing period and bottling strength required by the Bottled-in-Bond standard.
