Special Features:

The 2025 release is the third Cellar Aged edition and the most mature bottling Maker’s Mark has composed to date. Its blend consists of 74% eleven-year-old, 10% thirteen-year-old and 16% fourteen-year-old Kentucky Straight Bourbon.

After maturation in the traditional warehouses, the selected whiskey continues to mature in the distillery’s LEED-certified limestone cellar. The consistently cool temperatures slow the extraction of tannins from the wood and allow more time for oxidation. This gives the bourbon greater depth without excessively bitter tannins dominating its character.

The bourbon is bottled at 56.5% in a bottle containing 0.7 litres. It is non-chill filtered and contains no added colouring.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: On the nose, dark brown sugar, caramelised oak and baked apple create a rich, warm bouquet.
• Palate: On the palate, creamy fudge, toasted almonds and ripe dark cherries combine in a bold, rounded sweetness, with hints of butterscotch, orange peel and gentle baking spices.
• Finish: The finish is long and smooth.

Distillery/Bottler:

Maker’s Mark Distillery at Star Hill Farm in Loretto, Kentucky, produces the bourbon. Bill Samuels, Sr. began operating at the present site in 1952. The following year, Margie Samuels created the Maker’s Mark name as well as the bottle shape, label and red wax seal. Instead of the rye commonly used in bourbon, the distillery uses soft red winter wheat.

Maker’s Mark rotates its barrels by hand and determines the bourbon’s maturity by taste rather than following a rigid timetable. For Cellar Aged 2025, the distillery selects bourbons matured for extended periods, allows them to mature further in the limestone cellar, composes the 2025 release and bottles it as an official distillery bottling.
