Special Features:

Rowan's Creek is a small-batch Kentucky Straight Bourbon distilled, matured and bottled by Willett in Bardstown. Its grain recipe consists of 72% corn, 13% rye and 15% malted barley. The spirit enters new charred oak casks for maturation at 125 proof, equivalent to 62.5%. The bourbon is bottled without an age statement at 50.05%, or 100.1 proof.

Its character combines sweet caramel and vanilla notes with floral and herbal accents and a drier, spicy finish. Rowan's Creek is non-chill-filtered and contains no added colouring.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: On the nose, caramel and vanilla mingle with herbs and flowers. A light note of ripe fruit complements the bouquet.
• Palate: On the palate, the bourbon feels oily at first, then becomes drier. Floral notes accompany sweet caramel and vanilla.
• Finish: Oak and spice linger on the finish. The aftertaste feels warm and lasts medium-long to long.

Distillery/Bottler:

Willett Distillery is located in Bardstown, Kentucky, and remains a family-run business. Thompson Willett began building the distillery on the family farm in 1936; the first whiskey went into storage in Warehouse A on St. Patrick's Day in 1937. Even and Martha Willett Kulsveen took over the property in 1984. During the subsequent pause in production, Even further developed his work with matured whiskeys and their blending into small batches. This experience shaped the house's Small-Batch collection.

Distillation resumed at Willett in 2012. The house handles distillation, maturation and bottling for Rowan's Creek. Selecting and combining whiskeys from individual casks is part of its small-batch production process. The brand takes its name from the creek that flows through the distillery grounds. The label also reflects this connection: Even Kulsveen drew the illustration himself.
