Special Features:

Courage & Conviction Sherry Cask matures for at least four years in carefully selected former Pedro Ximénez, Fino and Oloroso sherry casks from Jerez. This American single malt is made from 100% malted barley.

The whisky has its natural colour, is non-chill filtered and is bottled at 46%. The bottle contains 0.7 litres.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: The nose reveals honeycomb, apricot, bright lemon and sugared almonds, complemented by the fruity notes of cherry and fig.
• Palate: Silky on the palate, the whisky combines hazelnut, soft leather and toffee with golden raisins and caramelised plums.
• Finish: The finish fades slowly with soft caramel and warm baking spices, remaining creamy and exceptionally smooth.

Distillery/Bottler:

Virginia Distillery Company was established in 2011 from the single malt vision of its Irish-born founder, Dr George G. Moore. After his death, his wife Angela Moore and their son Gareth Moore continued construction of the distillery. One of the founder’s frequently used mottos gave the Courage & Conviction whisky range its name.

At its Lovingston site, the distillery mills and mashes malted barley before carrying out fermentation and distillation. The resulting whisky is then matured and bottled on site. The production facilities include two Scottish copper pot stills and dedicated warehouses, where the casks experience Virginia’s hot summers and cool winters.
