Special features: This 12-year-old single malt whisky from the renowned Aultmore Distillery has been bottled at cask strength by the independent bottler North Star Spirits. The maturation took place entirely in a first fill hogshead, which gives the whisky a special depth and complexity. With a limited edition of 57 bottles, this drop is a true collector's item.
Tasting Notes:
- Nose: Inviting aromas of fresh pears, apples, and lemon zest, accompanied by vanilla, honey, and a hint of caramel. Fine malt notes and bright oak round off the bouquet.
- Palate: Soft yet powerful, the whisky presents sweet malt, vanilla, and toffee. Ripe fruits, buttery pastries, and subtle spice unfold, supported by the depth of the first fill hogshead.
- Finish: Medium to long, with notes of honey, vanilla, oak spice, and a fine malty sweetness in the aftertaste.
