Ballechin 2010/2026 - 15 y.o. - Heavily Peated - 1st Fill Bourbon Barrels - Sig un-chill

Special features: The Ballechin 2010/2026 is a Scottish whisky from the Highlands with an age of 15 years. Bottled by Signatory Vintage, it belongs to the Un-Chillfiltered Collection and was matured in first-fill bourbon barrels. Cold filtration was omitted, which affects the quality of the whisky. This whisky has a strong smokiness.

Tasting Notes:

  • Nose: The aroma is characterized by strong, earthy peat smoke, accompanied by sweet notes of ripe fruits and creamy honey.
  • Palate: On the palate, an intense smoky flavor unfolds with hints of vanilla, white pepper, and dark chocolate.
  • Finish: The finish is long-lasting with smoky and spicy notes.

Distillery/Bottler: Signatory Vintage was founded in 1988 by Andrew Symington and acquired the Edradour Distillery in 2002. The bottling company is known for its Un-Chillfiltered Collection, where natural flavors are preserved. The distillation for this whisky took place at Edradour.
