Tasting Notes:
- Nose: Lively and fruity with a refreshing mix of tropical fruits, pineapple, peach, and apricot jam. Candied citrus notes of orange and lemon follow with floral nuances, before roasted oak and malt sugar take over.
- Palate: Sweet tropical fruits with oak aromas from the American oak cask, along with vanilla cream, honey, and muscovado sugar. Vanilla pudding subsequently meets fruity character and an elegant grain note.
- Finish: Soft and gentle, tropical fruit notes linger in the finish, with the influence of oak providing notes of dried coconut and delicate vanilla cream.
Distillery/Bottler: The Bruichladdich Distillery was founded in 1881 by brothers Robert, William, and John Gourlay Harvey on the island of Islay. It is known for its unconventional approach to whisky production and places great emphasis on sustainability and transparency. Since 2012, the distillery has been part of the French spirits group Rémy Cointreau.
