Special Features: The Dalmore Luminary No. 3 - 2025 Edition is a 17-year-old single malt whisky from Scotland, specifically from the Highlands region. This whisky has undergone a complex maturation process, initially aging in American oak barrels with bourbon maturation. It then receives a finish in a combination of seven different casks, including vintage Calvados, Matusalem and Apostoles sherry casks, as well as Bordeaux and Châteauneuf-du-Pape casks. The absence of chill filtration ensures that the flavors can unfold unadulterated.
Tasting Notes:
- Nose: The nose presents vibrant orchard aromas, followed by Madagascar vanilla and cinnamon, complemented by delicate rosewater notes.
- Palate: On the palate, rich butter caramel unfolds, combined with red apples, tarte tatin, dark cocoa, red licorice, and soft wood spices, supported by notes of cardamom, Seville oranges, and green tea.
- Finish: The finish showcases dried apricots, ripe blackberries, freshly baked brioche, and soft, lingering cassia bark.
