Special features: This is a world-exclusive single malt from Bordeaux, made from 100% malted barley. The barley was smoked over an open fire with seaweed from the Arcachon Basin, giving the whisky a unique maritime flavor. Maturation took place in red wine casks from the renowned Château Pipeau, a Grand Cru winery in St. Emilion, Bordeaux—an exceptional combination of whisky and Bordeaux wine culture.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: Initially, the whisky needs a warm hand to unfold its aromas. Gentle wood smoke, heather, a salty breeze, along with purple cherries and fresh green peppers. Vanilla, a hint of citrus, and subtle red grapes complement the complex bouquet.
• Palate: Complex with hints of burnt coffee and robust red wine, accompanied by a salty note like cigarette smoke. Rich tannins meet nougat and alcohol-soaked cherries. Dark, rotten wood, iodine, and white pepper add spice. The mouthfeel is dry, spicy, with a distinctive, noble bitterness.
• Finish: Very long and persistent with ashy smoke, lingering tannins, and a hint of espresso. Plums, salt, and sesame round out the finish, providing a profound taste experience.
