Special features: On the occasion of the Campbeltown Malts Festival 2026, the Glen Scotia Distillery presents a limited special release: a 7-year-old single malt that initially matured in first-fill bourbon casks and was then refined for six months in first-fill ruby port casks. Bottled in natural color and without chill filtration, this whisky reflects the maritime character of Campbeltown and combines gentle peat smoke with fruity sweetness.
Tasting Notes:
- Nose: Sweet peat smoke, ripe red cherries, and creamy vanilla fudge.
- Palate: Juicy mandarins, lush currant jam, and layers of smoky flavors.
- Finish: Warming cinnamon and clove spice, maritime saltiness, and lingering peat smoke.
