Special features: Part of Glencadam's Wood-Finish series, this single malt matures in a combination of ex-bourbon casks and Portuguese tawny port barriques. The casks are previously seasoned with liqueur wines, which gives the whisky its characteristic depth and complexity. A natural bottling without chill filtration and colorants that showcases the flavors unadulterated.
Tasting Notes:
- Nose: Robust dark fruits and candied cloves, complemented by notes of black currant, licorice, and subtle baking spices.
- Palate: Complex with blackberries, currant jam, and syrup candies, accompanied by Morello cherries that transition into plum crumble and cedarwood spices.
- Finish: Long-lasting with warming nuances of walnut, light syrup tones, and Victoria sponge cake, followed by toasty wood spices.
