Glendalough Single Cask - French Burgundy Cask Cru Finish #RC 1296 - new packaging
Special features: The Glendalough Single Cask - French Burgundy Cask Cru Finish is an Irish whiskey produced at the Glendalough Distillery. It is initially aged in first-fill bourbon barrels before maturing for up to 12 months in Grand Cru Burgundy barrels. It is then bottled in 700 ml bottles with an alcohol content of 42%. This whiskey is characterized by its natural color, as it is bottled unfiltered and without coloring agents.
Tasting Notes:
- Nose: The nose presents ripe forest berries and sweet vanilla cream, complemented by caramel candies and honey. Subtle cinnamon spice and complex notes of wine are also perceptible.
- Palate: On the palate, honey unfolds, followed by full-bodied, wine-like notes with hints of grapes and berries. Liquid caramel supports the experience.
- Finish: The finish is slightly earthy and complex, with subtle oak notes that round off the tasting experience.
Distillery/Bottler: The Glendalough Distillery was founded in 2011 in the Glendalough Valley in the Wicklow Mountains. The distillery uses a 500-liter Holstein pot still, imported from Germany in 2013, to produce its whiskey. Glendalough is known for its careful production processes and the use of high-quality raw materials. The whiskey is sold as an original bottling.
