Distillery/Bottler: The Glenglassaugh Distillery was founded in 1875 by James Moir and his nephews Alexander and William Morrison. It is located between the coastal towns of Sandend and Portsoy in Aberdeenshire, Scotland, and utilizes its proximity to the sea to impart a subtle salty note to the whisky. After several closures and reopenings, the distillery was acquired by the Brown-Forman Corporation in 2016.
