Special features: This single malt whisky is the first release from the Glenturret Distillery made with peated malt. The maturation took place in a combination of American oak barrels, European oak barrels, and refill barrels, resulting in a harmonious interplay of fruitiness and smokiness.
Tasting Notes:
- Nose: Fruity aromas of dried apples and citrus fruits, accompanied by a hint of peat smoke.
- Palate: Balanced and smoky with notes of vanilla, apples, nectarines, and grapes.
- Finish: Medium-long with smoke and sea salt.
Distillery/Bottler: The Glenturret Distillery, founded in 1775, is one of the oldest still active distilleries in Scotland. It is located in the heart of the Highlands and is known for its artisanal production of single malt whiskies. In 2020, the core range was revised, with the elegant decanters designed by the French luxury goods company Lalique.
