Volume: 0.5 liters | Alcohol content: 49% | Non-chill-filtered | No coloring
Description
The name Pasquet stands for the finest, organically certified brandies, as well as for long-aged cognacs. For the limited-edition bottlings of the Confluences series, owners Jean and Amy combine exquisite snapshots that, together, create an even greater whole.
The latest example: Bord de Mer. This approximately 30-year-old blend is the house's first Cognac from the Borderies cru. This smallest of the Cognac-growing regions is known for its fresh flavor. Bord de Mer (English: "seashore") conveys this not only in its name, but also through a lively, complex profile of floral, fruity, and spicy notes.
Serge Valentin from Whiskyfun, one of the most knowledgeable tasters in the world, gives the “malternative” experience an impressive 90 points: “[…] Nougat and touches of fino, sending us, indeed, to the seaside, […] then apples, a hint of mustard, fruit and vegetable peels, a floral touch (geranium, but very moderate)… In fact, it's mostly very elegant.”
