Distillery/Bottler: The Kavalan Distillery, founded in 2005, is located in Yilan County in northern Taiwan. It has quickly gained an international reputation for its innovative production methods and the high quality of its whiskies. The distillery uses local sources for water and imports barley from Scotland and Finland. Due to the warm, subtropical climate of Taiwan, the whiskies mature faster and develop complex flavors.
