Special features: This 5-year-old Millstone Single Malt Whisky from the Netherlands impresses with its distinctive peatiness and maturation in rare Palo Cortado sherry casks. With a limited edition of 2,365 bottles and an alcohol content of 46% vol., this whisky is presented in an attractive tube.
Tasting Notes:
- Nose: Menthol freshness and smoke with warm undertones. A hint of citrus, particularly lemon, balances the smoky notes.
- Palate: Wonderfully balanced with warm notes of apple and orange, along with other citrus flavors that harmoniously blend with the deep, interesting smoky peat notes.
- Finish: Long and slightly dry with great complexity.
Distillery/Bottler: Zuidam Distillers, founded in 1975, is one of the last independent distilleries in the Netherlands. The family-run distillery in Baarle-Nassau values traditional artisanal production methods and uses 100% natural ingredients. In addition to Single Malt Whisky, Zuidam also produces gin, vodka, rum, and liqueurs.
