Nc'nean Huntress 2026 Malted Teacake - Organic Single Malt Whisky
Special features: The Nc'nean Huntress 2026 Malted Teacake is a Scottish single malt whisky from the Nc'nean Distillery in the Highlands. This whisky is made from 100% organic Scottish malt and is characterized by a special fermentation with Belgian ale yeast, which delivers aromas of malt cake and figs. The maturation takes place in a careful combination of 56% STR wine casks, 42% ex-bourbon casks, and a portion of Oloroso sherry casks. With an alcohol content of 48.5% and the fact that it is not chill-filtered, the whisky retains its natural form.
Tasting Notes:
- Nose: On the nose, the whisky presents dense notes of sweet fig jam.
- Palate: The palate shows a pleasant fruitiness reminiscent of sweet fig jam.
- Finish: The finish is mild and fruity.
Distillery/Bottler: The Nc'nean Distillery was founded in 2017 by Annabel Thomas and is located on the Morvern Peninsula in the Scottish Highlands. It produces its whisky exclusively with 100% renewable energy and uses organic ingredients. This comprehensive sustainability strategy highlights the quality and character traits of the whisky, while the special combination of casks used unfolds complex aromas.
