Special features: The Stauning HØST Höst Mini is a miniature version of the Danish Double Malt Whisky from the Stauning Whisky Distillery. This whisky combines single malt and malted rye whisky, which is aged in heavily charred new American oak barrels as well as in first-fill port wine barrels. The miniature bottle is perfect for tastings or as a collector's item.
Tasting Notes:
- Nose: Sweet vanilla notes, accompanied by beeswax and a hint of citrus fruits.
- Palate: Creamy and sweet with flavors of meadow honey, toffee, apples, and red berries.
- Finish: Medium-long and spicy-sweet with notes of syrup, cinnamon, and oak wood.
Distillery/Bottler: The Stauning Whisky Distillery was founded in 2005 by nine Danish whisky enthusiasts and is the oldest whisky distillery in the Kingdom of Denmark. It is located in the western part of Jutland, south of the small town of Stauning near Skjern. The distillery places great importance on traditional production methods and uses only locally grown grains and water. The whiskies are distilled in small, directly fired copper pot stills, resulting in a rich and complex flavor.
