Tamnavulin 2013/2025 - 11 y.o. - 1st Fill Oloroso Sherry Butt #373071 - James Eadie - Germany Exclusive

Special Features: This exclusive bottling is limited to only 315 bottles and has been finished in a First Fill Oloroso Sherry Butt. The eleven-year-old Tamnavulin whisky reflects the tumultuous history of the distillery, which has been active again since 1966 after nearly 30 years of inactivity. The bottling for the German market is characterized by its intense cask maturation and high drinking strength.

Tasting Notes:

  • Nose: Rich notes of dark fruits, dried cherries, and spicy sherry, accompanied by delicate hints of wood and vanilla.
  • Palate: Full-bodied with sweet sherry flavors, dried fruits, and a touch of nuts along with subtle spices.
  • Finish: Long-lasting, warm, and slightly dry with nuances of oak and sherry.

Distillery/Bottler: The Tamnavulin Distillery in Speyside was founded in 1966 but experienced a long period of inactivity lasting nearly 30 years. Today, it produces characterful single malts that impress with their balanced maltiness. James Eadie, named after a 19th-century Scottish brewer and pub owner, is dedicated to the independent bottling of special single casks from Scotland. This series connects the legacy of the family founder with modern bottlings.
