Special features: This single cask bottling with cask number CM 292 was distilled in October 2007 and bottled in May 2022. With a limited edition of only 297 bottles, the whisky presents itself with a powerful alcohol content of 56% vol., unfiltered and uncolored – an unadulterated experience for connoisseurs.
Tasting Notes:
- Nose: Fine hints of citrus fruits and vanilla paired with subtle grassy notes and a touch of honey.
- Palate: Full-bodied with flavors of ripe apples, almonds, and a gentle caramel note, accompanied by a pleasant spiciness.
- Finish: Long-lasting and elegant, with warm notes of oak and a subtle malt flavor.
Distillery/Bottler: The Auchentoshan Distillery, whose name comes from the Gaelic "Field of the Corner," is located northwest of Glasgow in the Central Lowlands. Founded around 1800, it is one of the few distilleries with traditional triple distillation in Scotland, resulting in a particularly pure and light spirit. The clear spring water comes from the Kilpatrick Hills, and the malt is only lightly peated. Since 1984 part of the Morrison Bowmore group and now united under Beam Suntory, Auchentoshan combines a long history with modern production.
