Special features: This Irish single malt matured for five years in 1st Fill Ex-Bourbon casks from the Great Northern Distillery and then received an unusual finish in a handcrafted virgin wood mulberry cask. The twelve-month finishing in the 50-liter cask results in a limited edition of only 90 bottles with a powerful 57.1% alcohol by volume. Part of a series with additional finishes from apple, pear, cherry, and service tree wood, showcasing various wood aromas impressively.

• Nose: Walnut shell, old wardrobe, tobacco, milk chocolate, sauna wood
• Palate: Vanilla chocolate pudding, nutty nuances, fresh tobacco, chocolate

Distillery/Bottler: The Woodpecker & The Leprechaun is a young brand of the independent bottler Sebastian Büssing, known as The Spirits Alchemist and The Liquid Madness. For this project, he collaborated with Irish whiskey expert Neil Saad and presented an innovative series of single malt whiskeys with extraordinary virgin wood finishes. The casks come from the Great Northern Distillery in Ireland, known for its modern approaches to whiskey production.
