Special features: As part of the Wood-Finish range, this single malt was initially matured in ex-bourbon casks before being finished for two years in casks previously filled with Tempranillo wine. This finish gives the whisky additional complexity with a successful combination of Scottish smoothness and Spanish red wine notes.
Tasting Notes:
- Nose: Strawberry jam, caramel with subtle roasted notes (Cinder Toffee), syrup biscuit, and stewed fruits, rounded off with hints of vanilla and chamomile.
- Palate: Notes of mixed berry compote, filled biscuit rolls (Brandy Snaps), and pudding pastry combine with a touch of white pepper, roasted oak, and cappuccino.
- Finish: Warm with aromas of dark chocolate, raspberries, and ginger, gradually transitioning into espresso and roasted chestnuts.
