Characteristic of this edition is the robust variety of aromas presented in the taste.
Tasting Notes:
- Nose: The nose is rich and inviting with raisins, figs, and candied orange peel. Notes of honey, toffee, and milk chocolate unfold, complemented by walnut, cinnamon, and a subtle clove note in the background.
- Palate: The palate is full, powerful, and warming. Dark fruits, orange marmalade, and honey open up widely, while chocolate, caramel, and nutty notes join in. A few drops of water soften it and bring out additional fruit and honey.
- Finish: The finish is long and warm with lingering sherry fruit, honey, cocoa, and gentle spices. Towards the end, it becomes slightly drier and shows notes of orange peel, nuts, and a pleasant spicy sharpness.
Distillery/Bottler: Signatory Vintage is an independent bottler of single malt whisky in Scotland. This Aberfeldy 11 years 2014 bottling was distilled in June 2014 and bottled in May 2026. The maturation took place entirely in a 1st Fill Oloroso Sherry Butt, giving the whisky a special character.
