Special features: The Achill Island Single Malt Whiskey is produced in Ireland by the Achill Island Distillery, which was founded in 2015 and is considered the first island distillery in Ireland. This whiskey matures in a combination of first-fill Kentucky bourbon barrels and Bordeaux barrels from Lynch-Bages. With an alcohol content of 44% vol., this single malt is the result of triple distillation in traditional copper pot stills. It combines the flavors of Basque winemaking with the craftsmanship of Irish whiskey production.
