Special features: The Amrut Fusion combines 75% unpeated Indian malt with 25% peated Scottish malt. This combination is distilled separately and matures in ex-bourbon and new oak barrels before being blended into a harmonious fusion. The tropical maturation process in Bangalore gives this whisky remarkable depth and complexity.
Tasting Notes:
- Nose: Inviting aromas of ripe tropical fruits such as pineapple and mango, accompanied by a malty sweetness and a hint of vanilla. Delicate smoky notes and spicy nuances of cinnamon and cloves add depth.
- Palate: Full-bodied and oily with notes of caramel, ripe fruits, and spices like cardamom and pepper. The gentle smokiness integrates harmoniously, while the sweetness and spice are perfectly balanced.
- Finish: Long-lasting, warm, and complex with lingering malt and oak spice notes. A subtle hint of smoke and dark fruits rounds off the tasting experience.
