The whisky was distilled in 2000, the year the distillery resumed production after a comprehensive renovation. After 24 years of maturation in former bourbon casks, it received a finish in Amontillado sherry casks, which was a first in the distillery's history. It was bottled at an alcohol content of 47.8% vol., without chill filtration and without coloring.
