Tasting Notes:
- Nose: On the nose, there is a rather subtle smoky profile with aromas of smoked black currants and chili chocolate, complemented by aged balsamic, linseed oil, and smoked paprika powder.
- Palate: On the palate, the whisky presents rich, spicy, and smoky notes of coffee grounds, dark chocolate, and smoked fruits. Additional aromas include eucalyptus, camphor, paprika, mustard seeds, sweet chili, and grilled spare ribs.
- Finish: The finish is long-lasting and features citrus notes, pickled limes, and a hint of tar.
Distillery/Bottler: The Ardbeg Distillery is known for producing characteristic whiskies on the island of Islay.
