The whisky is matured in small first-fill bourbon quarter casks and uses Golden Promise barley, a traditionally popular variety in the 20th century and prized for its intense flavor. Production takes place in small batches at the micro-distillery, which cultivates its own grain, placing particular emphasis on character over mass production.
