This limited bottling from Signatory Vintage’s Un-Chillfiltered Collection combines a 13-year-old Auchentoshan with a finish in first-fill Amontillado sherry hogsheads. Distilled in 2013, the Lowland single malt was bottled in June 2026 at 46%. It has natural colour and is non-chill-filtered; the bottle contains 0.7 litres.

The Amontillado finish adds dry, nutty and fruity accents. Citrus and green apple provide freshness, while peach, dried figs, dark grapes, vanilla, almonds and chocolate add greater depth. Coconut, toffee, honey and subtle oak and spice notes broaden the profile.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: On the nose, citrus oil and crisp green apple mingle with creamy vanilla. Lightly toasted oak, almond pastry, white flowers and a trace of coconut add further detail, while white peach, toasted almonds and dried figs deepen the fruity and nutty character. Lemon zest and a distinct mineral freshness remain present.
• Palate: On the palate, citrus and green apple lead into creamy vanilla and silky malt sweetness. Toffee, almonds and a touch of white chocolate follow, accompanied by dark grapes, candied fruit and milk chocolate. Lemon zest, citrus-tinged honey, gentle oak spice and delicate nutty spice round out the flavour.
• Finish: The finish is long, clean, dry and fruity. Lemon zest and vanilla meet creamy fruit sweetness, subtle oak and almonds; toasted almonds, caramel, cinnamon and gentle spicy warmth linger alongside a trace of barley sugar.

Distillery/Bottler:

Auchentoshan stands on the western edge of Glasgow and belongs to the Lowlands. The distillery produced the malt for this bottling using triple distillation. Signatory Vintage bottled the whisky for the Un-Chillfiltered Collection in 2026.

Andrew Symington and his brother founded Signatory Vintage in 1988. Its first bottling, a 1968 Glenlivet, sold out quickly; Andrew Symington later assumed full ownership of the company. The acquisition of Edradour Distillery in 2002 gave Signatory a home of its own in Pitlochry, where the entire operation had relocated by 2007. In subsequent years, the site’s warehousing capacity was expanded to accommodate more than 20,000 casks.
