Magic Berry Gin from Böser Kater combines berry aromas with a colour change in the glass: adding tonic water turns its violet hue red. Blackberry, raspberry, blueberry and juniper form the aromatic foundations of this bottling. The gin contains 40% alcohol and comes in a 0.5-litre bottle.

The gin is made by hand in small production runs. It is vegan and contains no artificial flavourings or added sugar. A Mediterranean Tonic or Dry Tonic makes a suitable mixer. The bottle should be kept in the shade and its contents consumed promptly.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: Raspberries, blackberries and other forest fruits appear on the nose alongside juniper. A slightly tart note accompanies the fruit.
• Palate: The gin feels smooth on the palate. Forest fruits and juniper combine with pleasant acidity.
• Finish: Blueberries and blackberries stand out in the fruity finish.

Distillery/Bottler:

Edelobstbrennerei Schleihauf in Eppingen is behind this gin. The family business has its roots in liqueurs and fruit brandies made from fruit grown in local meadows. Adrian, the third generation of the family, expanded the range with his own gin recipes and founded the Böser Kater brand.

His cat Rüdiger inspired the name. This also led to a commitment to cat welfare: with every bottle sold, the brand supports its partner organisations through donations. In 2025, Böser Kater completed its own new production facility. Larger production and storage areas, together with an event room, provide space for product development and tastings.
