Special Features:

For this XO, Bache-Gabrielsen blends eaux-de-vie from Grande and Petite Champagne, with Grande Champagne accounting for the larger share. The blend therefore meets the requirements for Fine Champagne. The eaux-de-vie are made entirely from Ugni Blanc and mature for at least ten years in Limousin oak. The cognac is bottled at 40% in a 0.7-litre bottle and supplied in gift packaging.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: The nose is distinctly floral, with iris accompanied by cinnamon, vanilla, honey and a delicate cigar note. Ripe peach and dried fruit complete the bouquet.
• Palate: The palate opens with a light pepper note before dried fruit and dark chocolate emerge. Roasted hazelnut and a pronounced oak structure complement the balanced impression.
• Finish: The long finish sustains cinnamon and sweet spices. Honey and a hint of oak also linger.
