Special features: This 12-year-old single malt from Speyside has been finished in virgin oak barrels from Kentucky after initial maturation in traditional oak casks, adding an extra seductive sweet character. The finishing in heavily toasted American oak barrels gives it its unique combination of fruitiness and spicy oak. It is bottled as an original bottling, packaged in an elegant tube.
Tasting Notes:
- Nose: Malty sweetness with caramel notes, accompanied by citrus fruits, fresh oak, vanilla, as well as spicy ginger and cinnamon.
- Palate: Candied oranges and lemon peels meet vanilla, caramel candies, floral honey, brown sugar, and spicy oak notes.
- Finish: Rich and malty with subtle vanilla and lingering spice nuances.
